- Early Childhood Center PK2-JK (Avon Road circular drive, dismissed 15 minutes earlier than Grades K-8; stay in right lane)
- St. Dominic School K-6 (Avon Road circular drive, stay in left lane)
- St. Agnes Lower School K-6 (Walnut Grove Road circular drive- at Arrival, children in grades K-3 must be dropped off in the lane closest to the building.)
- Veritas Research Center (Jr. High and Upper School ONLY- During JH dismissal, Grade 7 will use the right lane for pick up and Grade 8 will use the left lane.
Please note: Name cards must be visible to read for the teachers on duty. The carpool line is a NO PHONE Zone.
- Carpool cards will be issued at Back-to-School Night, Thursday, August 8 to every family in PK2-8. Please display the card in the front window of your car for faculty helping to load the children and the crossing guards monitoring the traffic on Avon Road may easily view.
- PK2-JK children are dismissed at 2:45 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and 2:00 on Wednesday.
- PK2 children must remain at the ECC for pickup by an authorized individual. PK2 drivers must park on the west side of Avon Road or the Independent Presbyterian Church parking lot and walk in to pick up their children.
- PK-JK children have the option of dismissing from the ECC Carpool line with their class, or being escorted to an older sibling in the grade school (SAA or SDS) to dismiss with them. A member of the faculty supervises the younger children during sibling dismissal.
- Families with children in different locations (SAA or SDS) have the option to choose which carpool they will use. Parents will instruct their children which carpool to report to (SAA or SDS)***
- During JH dismissal, Grade 7 will use the right lane for pick up and Grade 8 will use the left lane.
Please note: Name cards must be visible to read for the teachers on duty. The carpool line is a NO PHONE Zone. - Younger children are not to be picked up at the Jr. High or Upper School dismissal, however Jr. High students may go to the younger child (SAA or SDS). Grades K-8 dismiss 15 minutes later than the Early Childhood, so parents may wish to adjust their arrival time so they will not hold up the line waiting for the older child to dismiss.
- Do not drop off/pick-up your child on Avon Road, behind the Dining Hall or Siena Hall in an attempt to avoid carpool lines.
- There is NO PARKING ON THE EAST SIDE OF AVON ROAD for drop off or pick-up. Diminished visibility caused by parked cars endangers motorists and pedestrians. During most days of the year, our good neighbor, Independent Presbyterian Church, graciously allows us to use their north parking lot during the school day for this reason.
- PK2 parents ONLY are allowed to park on the WEST side of Avon to drop their children off.
***PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING***
Siena Hall IS NOT a designated pick-up or drop off location.
The area behind the Dining Hall IS NOT a designated pick-up or drop off location.
Regarding Parking on Avon Road
We ask your help with a serious safety concern. Visibility is dangerously limited at the driveways of Siena Hall, SDS and ECC when cars are parked on the East (school) side of Avon Road. Those attempting to leave campus are unable to see around any vehicles parked on the street, and conversely, passing cars do not see motorists and pedestrians attempting to pull out or cross.
For this reason, we ask that NO ONE park on the East side of Avon Road (school side) at any time. The guidelines below have been implemented to prevent accidents and to make our campus safe. Please share this information with spouses, grandparents, babysitters and anyone who may be picking up a child or visiting our campus.
